The US Food and Drug Administration has expanded the emergency use authorization for the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine boosters to children aged between 12 and 15 years.

The time interval between completion of the initial vaccine series and receiving a booster jab has also been reduced from six months to at least five months for all individuals aged 12 years and above.
